Important Update!!! For those who are seeking tours of the battlefield at Monterey Pass, only our staff are allowed to give tours of the Washington Township owned battlefield property. Our park rules and regulations adopted in 2011, prohibits any other guiding services from giving tours of the Monterey Pass Battlefield Park and Museum.

Over the course of 2015, we have had a lot of tours leading from Gettysburg to our battlefield park and we have had complaints about those tours. Some guides have given false information regarding our battlefield, historically and organizational including our services. Remember, when hiring a private guide from Gettysburg or other guiding company, that money does not come back to Monterey Pass and most times, it’s pocketed by the guide.
We have these rules because we want to ensure that those on a tour, get the most accurate information about the history and that the funds from those tours stay at Monterey Pass Battlefield to help cover educational, interpretive and preservation projects.

I’d like to contact John Miller. Richard Bard was my 3rd-great-grandfather.

    Hello Mr. Miller

I am in Gettysburg for the Lincoln forum conference and just came upon your website while searching for information about South Mountain . A friend and I have been to both turners and foxes gaps several times but i’ve been unable to totally understand it because of the important areas that are in private property . Is there any chance by some miracle that you would be available anytime this Sunday November 20 to conduct a private tour of the morning phase of the foxes gap at battle that you reference on your website?

    Thank you for your consideration

    Don McCue
